Iranian researchers make radar altimeter tester for anti-vessel missiles
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Electronic Engineering Faculty of Tehran University have designed a radar altimeter tester to be used in anti-vessel missiles altimeter.
The device is used to test performance of altimeter by simulating distance, testing internal range of altimeter, testing pieces by pieces on ranges and detecting faulty pieces, said Dr. Naser Masoumi, the project director.

Simulating altitude by 1-300 meters, testing the track range, sustainability and sensitivity are some properties of the system.

The system can measure the strength of sending, band width, central frequency and the time of searching. It is mostly used on altimeter of anti-vessel missiles built by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Naval Forces.
