Iranian, French negotiators to meet for bilateral talks in Geneva tomorrow
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian and French nuclear negotiating teams are set to take part in bilateral talks in Geneva on Wednesday.


The French have decided to send their new foreign ministry political director Nicolas de Rivire to replace their longtime lead negotiator and political director Jacques Audibert.

Meantime, the German's top envoy to the Iran-Group 5+1 talks Hans Deiter Lucas is also due to meet his Iranian counterpars in Tehran next Sunday.

On Monday afternoon, representatives from Iran and the United States kicked off their two-day bilateral nuclear negotiations in the Swiss capital.

The bilateral talks between Iran and the G5+1 members come ahead of the next round of multilateral negotiatons among the seven nations the Austria capital of Vienna on June 16-20.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs Seyed Abbas Araqchi and Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and America Majid Takht Ravanchi are heading Irans delegation in the talks.

Iran and the six world powers (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) have been holding talks to resolve their differences and reach a final deal to end Iran's nuclear standoff with the West.

The two sides held the latest round of nuclear negotiations in Vienna in mid-May.
