Hillary Clinton regrets her vote on Iraq war

Overdue regret surfaces every now and then in official political circles concerning the 2003 US invasion of Iraq and the ensuing havoc that was wrought in the Middle Eastern country.
The latest such expression of regret has come from former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who says that she got it all wrong when she voted as a Senator to authorize the war in Iraq.

In her new memoir titled Hard Choices, which is yet to be released, Clinton writes that her mistake became more painful every time she sent a condolence letter as a Senator to a family that had lost a son or a daughter.

Former US President George W. Bush and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair have been accused of war crimes over their role in Iraq war under the pretext that slain Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction, a pretext that proved to be outright wrong.
