Woman, 40, saves girl 2 from a 13m well
KHORRAMABAD, June 7 (MNA) A 40-year-old woman has saved a 2-year-old girl who had fallen into a 13- meter well.

Samaneh, 2, fell into a deep water well and the neighbor woman bravely saved her on time.

The child was playing with her sister in the house yard where a water well was around; their mother suddenly noticed that the little girl fell into the well and she immediately turned the well pump off and started screaming, asking for help.

One of the women in neighborhood responded, coming for help and did not spare any moment. She climbed down the well. Reaching the bottom of the well, she found the little girl safe.

Malakeh Yahya Beigi who saved Samaneh told Mehr News that when she climbed the well down the little girl was hardly breathing but fortunately she was saved and sent to Imam Khomeini hospital in Alashtar where the child was treated.

The nearest RARO (Rescue and Relief Organization, an affiliated center of Iran's Red Crescent Organization) center to this village was few miles away; so, the womans bravery to enter the well and save the child was highly appreciated by the hospital staff, although it could be potentially dangerous for her as well, said the head of RARO Sajjad Kazemi.
