Tehran, June 2, IRNA - Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said here on Monday that the Western countries have no right to set new regulations in the nuclear talks with Iran.

Addressing a local gathering, Larijani stressed that Iran is negotiating with P5+1 based on the international regulations.


Iran welcomes negotiations with the six major world powers, he said, adding Iran has never left the negotiation table.

He said although the Western countries were holding talks with Iran, they were trying to undermine the talks behind the scene.

?Based on the negotiation logic, Iran should follow the international rules and the Western countries have no right to impose new regulations,? he said.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi said Sunday that the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the G5+1 will be held at expert level this week.

Iran and Group 5+1 had intensive and hard talks on May 13-16 in Vienna to begin compiling text of comprehensive nuclear agreement, but the talks ended without noticeable progress.

The next round of negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1 will be held during June 16-21.
