Tehran, May 29, IRNA - Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said on Thursday that all are now witnessing that the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoy dignity and honor.

Speaking to IRNA, he said late Imam Khomeini strongly stood up to the arrogant powers by chanting the slogan ?No East and No West?.


Late Imam Khomeini also advised people to support Velayat-e Faqih (governance of supreme jurisprudent) to prevent any deviation in the path of the Islamic Revolution?, he said.


Successful nuclear talks have lessened pressure on the country, peparing the grounds to attain the goals set for resistance economy, he said.


The US by misusing its power imposed unfair economic sanctions against Iran that have created many problems, he said.

Many countries in the world seek to broaden cooperation with Iran but this is the US that throws obstacles to this end, Boroujerdi said.


?We should rely on our own capabilities to attain economic development,? he said.


?The fact is that we are now struggling with the global arrogance led by the US and should show resistance to attain our economic and political goals,? he said.


Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is now preparing the road map of resistance economy which will be presented to Majlis in the near future, he said.
