Iranian VP to attend G-77 summit in Bolivia

Tehran, May 26, IRNA - First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri is scheduled to participate in the upcoming summit of the Group of 77 developing countries in Bolivias eastern city of Santa Cruz next month.
The visit will take place upon the formal invitation of the Bolivian President Evo Morales which was extended in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and Americas Majid Takht-e Ravanchi in the capital, La Paz, on January 20.
The 50th summit of the Group of 77 will be held on June 14 and 15 in Santa Cruz.

The Group of 77 is a coalition of developing nations, designed to promote its members collective economic interests and create an enhanced joint negotiating capacity in the UN. The founding members of the organization were 77 countries; but, by November 2013, the organizations member states expanded to 133.
