Iran exports near 400,000 tons of non-oil goods to 7 neighboring states in 1 month
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran exported over 375,000 tons of goods to more than half a dozen countries in the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2014-April 21, 2014), with Afghanistan standing at the top of list.


The value of Iranian goods exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan amounted to USD 212 million.

The total value of Iran's non-oil exports to all the world countries in the said period exceeded $2.824 billion.

During the said period, the countrys exports of non-oil commodities, including gas condensates, showed a 10.4-percent rise compared to the corresponding period last year.

The main destinations of Irans exported goods were the UAE, China, India, Turkey and South Korea in the last year.

Earlier this year, Head of Iran's Customs Administration Mehdi Karbasyan said the country is preparing for considerable growth in its non-oil exports.

"Non-oil exports will witness an eye-catching growth in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2014)," Karbasyan, also an Iranian deputy economy minister, told reporters.

He noted that Iran exported $41.628 billion worth of non-oil goods, including gas condensates, last year (ended March 20, 2014) which showed 0.43 percent rise compared with the year before.
