Tehran, May 25, IRNA � The 7th General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union opened in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani here on Sunday.

Representatives of several radio and TV stations from 30 Islamic countries are attending the three-day event.

The general assembly?s motto is ?media of resistance: confrontation with religious sedition?.

The 5th Islamic Film Market Festival, the 5th Ettehad Festival and the 4th Exhibit of Media Equipment and Technology will be also held on the sidelines of the meeting.

The event will be wrapped up on May 27.
