TEHRAN (FNA)- The Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in Abu Dhabi rejected a report by a UAE paper alleging that Tehran's diplomats are due to attend a quadrilateral meeting with counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the US and Germany to discuss the Syrian crisis.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Iranian mission stressed that the report by the Arabic-language paper, Al-Bayan, is totally untrue.
"The claim is untrue and baseless and it lacks creditability," said the Iranian embassy, and added, "This fabrication of news has happened in a move to overshadow the recent developments on the scene of Syria and the conditions on the ground in there."
The UAE daily alleged that representatives of Iran, Saudi Arabia, the US and Germany are slated to go to a European capital soon to discuss the crisis in Syria.
