French museum forum introduces Iranian capital

Frances Museum of Architecture and Heritage has held a four-day forum on introducing Iranian capital city of Tehran, Press TV has reported.
The participants and visitors of the event presented their approaches and views on Tehran as modern metropolis in western Asia.

Many believed that Iran needed to open up to the world and its true face should be introduced to the nations.

Tehran is the largest city in Western Asia, but for many in France it remains covered in exotic mystery at best, and clichs at worst.

However, Iran has over 2,500 years of history; Tehran is a 20th-century creation particularly after the imposed war during the 1980s, when the bombardment damaged face of the city.

The forum also discussed several subjects such as establishing a new subway system, highways and other mass projects in Tehran in past years that converted the city into a modern city.

Tehran may have high pollution, but it does not have poor slums. The city has granted parks, trees and beauty both natural and artistic.

While its true face was distorted by many international Medias, Tehran is also a city of contrasts, host of modern and traditional features.

Various museums in Tehran introduce the bewildering array of Iranian history and the names that accompany such a long history.
