TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian military commander underlined the influential role that powers like China and Russia can play in putting an end to the bullying of global Zionism and the US.


"The performance of powers like China and Russia in putting an end to the bullying countries like the US and the global Zionism can be influential," Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural Affairs and Defense Publicity Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said in Tehran on Saturday.

Brigadier General Jazayeri said the world is in a sensitive transitional era, and added, "If the international community attains a clear understanding of this era, the end of the hegemonic regimes headed by the US will be imminent."

He underlined that the world is at a historical juncture and performance of powers like China and Russia is of paramount importance, and said, "The US is facing major challenges in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine."

Brigadier General Jazayeri reiterated that not only the US, but also its allies have sustained large damage in recent confrontations.

In October 2013, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in a meeting with Cuba's new Ambassador to Tehran Vladimir Andres Gonzalez Quesada, called on the world powers to reconsider their relations with other countries based on mutual respect and justice, reiterating that the era of their bullying has now come to an end.

During the meeting in Tehran, President Rouhani pointed to the efforts by the big powers to create problems in the trend of the relations between the independent states, including Iran and Cuba, and said, �We should make big powers realize that the bullying era has ended and should make them consider equality and justice in their relations with other countries."
