TEHRAN, May 5 (Bernama) -- Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi on Monday said that the government planned to improve the role of women within family and society.
According to Iran's IRNA, she made the remarks during a meeting with the visting Director of the Department of Labour Standards of International Labour Organisation (ILO), Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry.

The government aims to focus on the women's rights and role within the family and society, Molaverdi added.

She also underlined that President Hassan Rohani's administration is keen to have constructive talks and good interaction with the world.

The ILO's official welcomed the expansion of ILO-Iran ties particularly in the field of promotion of women status.
