Majlis commission to review Western commitment to its promises

Tehran, May 4, IRNA Rapporteur of Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy said Sunday that the commission will check the extent to which the Western governments have fulfilled their promises under the Geneva Deal struck last November.

The members of the parliamentary commssion on national security and foreign policy on Sunday discussed the prospects of nuclear talks between Iran and the western governments, Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said.

He said that the Iranian MPs are concerned that whether the Western side honors its commitment to the interim agreement struck on November 24.

The lawmakers agreed to invite officials from the civil aviation organization and oil and petrochemical industries to give a report on the extent to which the Western governments have fulfilled their promises in the context of the nuclear deal, Naqavi Hosseini said.

He noted that earlier reports by Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines have caused concern for the lawmakers about Western failure to live up to its commitments.
