Swiss film festival celebrates Iranian cinema

Tehran, April 19, IRNA - A number of Iranian screen productions have been presented at the 28th Fribourg International Film Festival in Switzerland.
The films were screened in the competitive section and a non-competitive particular section dedicated to Iranian cinema, Press TV reported on Saturday.

Abbas kiarostamis ?Where is the Friends home? along with several productions by Irans Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults and a number of animations were displayed at the Iranian cinema section.

The section was programed to commemorate Iranian cinema at the years edition of the festival.

Iranian film Fish and Cat directed by Shahram Mokri swept two top awards of the competition section of the event.

Mokris cinematic production received the FIPRESCI Jury (International Federation of the Cinematic Press) as well as the Youth Jury Award.

The 2014 Fribourg International Film Festival was held from March 29 March to April 5.
