Commander: Army to hold cyber drills this year

Shahr-e Rey, April 18, IRNA Army?s Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan announced that the Army plans to hold a cyber drills with participation of all forces.
?Specialized cyber drills will be held in the current Iranian year by participating all military forces and units,? Brigadier General Pourdastan told reporters on the sideline of ceremony to mark the National Army Day in Iran on Friday.
He also announced that the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) also plan to hold joint military maneuvers in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2014).

Brigadier General Pourdastan reiterated that the Armed Forces are vigilant in the face of enemy movements.

He noted that Army is ready to severely respond to any possible aggression.
Tehran?s defense doctrine is peaceful in nature, but the Iranian Armed Forces are watching enemy movements on the ground, in the air and at sea both at regional and international scopes, the senior commander asserted.

Iran marked National Army Day with nationwide parades being held around the country.
