IRIAF holds aerial parades on National Army Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Fighter jet squadrons of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) on Friday attended aerial parades over Tehrans sky to mark National Army Day.
A whole host of Iranian Army forces attended nationwide parades on Friday morning to mark the countrys National Army Day.

In the meantime, aircraft from the Air Force also performed aerial maneuver during the military parades in the capital.

The aircraft in the aerial parade included F-7, F-14 and F-4 fighter jets, C-130 transport aircraft, MiG-29, Sukhoi Su-24 and home-made Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) jets as well as choppers of the Army Ground Force airborne division (Havaniroz).

In capital, the ceremony was held at the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, south of Tehran.

High-ranking officials, including President Hassan Rouhani, as well as senior military commanders were present at the ceremony.

A host of Army units put their latest achievements on display during the parades, believed by many military experts as an annual showcase for Iranian Army's latest weaponry and military progress.

The military parades saw units from the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force and Air Defense Force displaying a broad range of advanced equipment such as missiles, tanks, armored vehicles, rifles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), fighter jets, radar systems and air defense missile systems.
