Iran would not be a competitor for markets against Russia

TEHRAN, April 14 (MNA) Irans minister of industry, mine, and trade has said Iran has proposed for the EU countries to provide their gas.
Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh told German daily NRC Handelsblad that Iran would not be a competitor for gas markets in Europe against Russia.

We seek to play a significant role the future of gas markets, said the minister, we do not want to compete with Russia, but know the fact that Europes gas needs are increasing in daily basis, and seek a part in that market.

Nematzadeh believed that Iran would be a long-term and good partner for the EU. We have gas reservoirs and cooperation agreements, however, on Russia, the decision lies with the EU, he added.

He also added that Iran had invited German automotive manufacturers to open branch in Iran.
