Official: 22 health villages to be established in Tehran
Tehran April 14, IRNA - Twenty-two health villages will be established in 22 districts of Tehran, said deputy head of Tehrans Municipality Health Department.
Mehdi Amiri said that the health villages will provide people with health services free of charge. Such services include blood glucose test, blood pressure test and medical and psychological consultations, the English-language newspaper ?Iran Daily? said on Monday.
He said that the health villages, each with over 30 pavilions, are expected to be established in public places of Tehran including the Milad Tower and Mellat Park.

Amiri said that some 2,000 training courses on health issues will be held for people in 374 localities of Tehran during the Health Week (April 21-28).

He said that 250 health tours and 200 local and sport festivals will be held in Tehran during the period, noting 500 healthy foods and a 10-tier cake made of dairies and fruits are expected to be made in Milad Tower.

Over 160 plays will be staged in public places during Health Week, he said.

Amiri noted that a mass brisk walking will be held near Persian Gulf Martyrs Lake in which Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi and senior officials of Tehran Municipality will participate.
