TEHRAN, April 14 (MNA) – Iran’s ambassador to Moscow has met with Special Representative of the Russian Federation’s President.
Mehdi Sanayi met with Ambassador-at-Large Igor Bratchikov just ahead of Caspian Sea States foreign ministers meeting to be held in Moscow on April 23rd.
Moscow session will address the agenda for Caspian Sea States presidential meeting to be held in September 2014 in Astrakhan.
Among the agenda for Moscow session are results of the Agreement on Protection, Preservation, Restoration and Rational Use of Marine Living Resources of the Caspian Sea; Natural Disaster Warning System, and discussing of the draft of the statement by the Presidential Meeting for the future Astrakhan meeting.
Iran and Russia had taken similar positions in solving Caspian Sea issues to curb the superregional players’ presence in the Sea.
