Tehran, April 9, IRNA Exhibition of Nuclear Achievements opened concurrent with National Nuclear Technology Day in a ceremony attended by the head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.
Ali Akbar Salehi toured various sections of the exhibit in an inaugural ceremony at the Sacred Defense Garden Museum today.
Meanwhile, two significant nuclear achievements were unveiled today. One is the inauguration of control room of Tehran research reactor and the other opening of the unit for producing isotope oxygen 18 at Arak Khandab site.
Salehi presented a report on the plans of the organization as well as nuclear achievements in a meeting of officials and experts of AEOI with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday on the occasion of National Day of Nuclear Technology.
The main and most strategic duty of the AEOI is to meet energy needs of the country including those of the health, industry and agriculture sectors, he said.
Irans nuclear chief also noted that completion of fuel cycle was a brilliant point in the history of the AEOI in the past few years.
Salehi said that AEOI has plans for exploring new uranium resources.
