MP opposes establishment of EU office in Tehran

Tehran, April 4, IRNA Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alla?eddin Boroujerdi, has expressed opposition to setting up of the EU representative office in Tehran, saying that in view of EU parliament?s approval of anti-Iran resolution, the grounds are not ready for the purpose.
Boroujerdi said that the country?s foreign policy is based on dignity, wisdom, expediency, mutual interest and non-interference in any country?s affairs and it will forge and maintain ties with other states within the framework.

Interference and imperative stances have no place In Iran?s foreign policy, he said, noting that given the conditions set by the Europeans, Iran will never allow the establishment of an office in Tehran.

Given the approval of an anti-Iran resolution by the EU parliament, establishment of the office in Tehran is very unlikely, Boroujerid said.
