MP refers to Ahmed Shaheed as Zionist, CIA agent

Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, the spokesman for the Majlis (parliament) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy

Tehran, March 29, IRNA – An Iranian parliamentarian referred to the United Nations Especial Human Rights Rapporteur Ahmed Shaheed as a Zionist and CIA agent.

Talking to IRNA on Saturday, Spokesman for Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, said the extension of Shaheedˈs mission by the UN Human Rights Council serves to gain time to level yet more accusations again Iran.

He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is quite familiar with Shaheedˈs character.

He said all fair and independent human rights bodies are well aware that Shaheed works as an agent for the Zionist regime and also the CIA.

The parliamentarian believed that Shaheed compiles his false reports upon what he receives from the Mossad and the terrorist Mojahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO).

Noting that the UN Human Rights Council has a multitude of rapporteurs for many countries who change positions after the termination of their tenor, Hosseini said that Shaheed is the only one among these rapporteurs who repeatedly gets reinstated every time his time of service ends.

He said Shaheed not only compiles false reporters against Iran but also embarks on analyzing and commenting on them in various channels and conferences to win the satisfaction of the Zionist regime and the terrorist MKO.

To prove its impartiality, he added, the UN human rights body has to substitute Shaheed with another rapporteur.
