President Rouhani told his ministers and deputies that the subsidy reform plan will take effect in May, according to the petroenergy news network SHANA.
Rouhani said his administration has significant projects for curbing the runaway inflation rate and creating jobs.
The president said Iran has to connect its economy to the world in order to protect it against pressures.
“…We should make sure that the export and import of many commodities by other countries would be connected to Iran. Then, we will see how they would be able to impose sanctions on us,” said the president.
Rouhani reaffirmed his pledge to fight economic corruption in the country.
“We have to identify those who have misused public wealth and rake-off and hand over them to justice,”
