No national will to complete peace pipeline

Tehran, YJC. Peace pipeline initiator says there is no national will to complete the pipeline which takes Iranian gas to Pakistan.

Some years ago Ali Shams Arakani introduced the initiative to transfere Irans gas to Pakistan via pipes. The initiative came considering Irans place as the worlds second gas reservoir seen as worthy of a bigger share in the global market.

But these days Ardakanis project is left half-finished. He knows Saudi Arabia to be the cause of the lack of success of the project.

Tadbir Khabar reports that with Iran off the scene, Saudi Arabia will earn something around $100 million on a daily basis. That is why the country makes no bones bribing Pakistan out of the Peace gas transfer contract.

Recently Asia Times reported that Riyadh has given a $1.5 billion fund to Islamabad, stating that by doing so Saudis try to buy Nawaz Sharif out of gas cooperation with Iran. The article comes shortly before the Pakistani Prime Ministers trip to Iran.
