TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tehrans provisional Friday prayers leader emphasized the need for utmost care about the economy and culture in Iran in a bid to develop the country in all arenas.Addressing a large congregation of people in Tehran on Friday, Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi called on all Iranian people to put efforts into strengthening the countrys economy and working for the betterment of the culture.
The prominent cleric likened the culture to water, without which life would be impossible, but at the same time it could harm human if contaminated.
Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi also touched upon the importance of economy, saying the general policies of the Resistance Economy --outlined recently by the Supreme Leader-- would guarantee the countrys success.
His remarks contained echoes of the Supreme Leaders emphasis on the economic and cultural issues in an earlier message.
In a televised address on the occasion of the advent of the Iranian New Year on Thursday, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined the importance of collaborative effort by the Iranian people and authorities to strengthen the country's economy and culture.
The Leader also dubbed the new Iranian year The Year of Economy and Culture with National Determination and Jihadi Management.
