Iranian Navy sending message of peace to entire world: Navy commander

Khorramshahr, Khuzestan prov, March 17, IRNA – Sending message of peace to the entire world will be on the agenda of Iranˈs navy in the next year, Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Monday.

Speaking to IRNA, Sayyari said that the Iranian Navy is willing to launch campaign to thwart the conspiracy of Iranophobia.

He said that the Navy fulfills the obligation to ensure security in the high seas to prepare the ground for the national economic growth.

He underlined that build-up of the defense capabilities of the Navy are highly needed for protecting the countryˈs interests in the high seas.

The Commander said that the Iranian Navy is present in the high seas to help ensure security in open seas.

The security of Iranian merchant ships should be guaranteed against the pirates in the Gulf of Aden and Babolmandab, Sayyari said, stressing the need for Iranian Navyˈs presence in the high seas.
