TEHRAN Mar 17 (Shana): The director of public relations of Iran’s Petroleum Ministry has said this ministry is only tasked with implementing the subsidy regulation plan.
Akbar Nematollahi said the ministry does not take any decision about the subsidization plan.
“When there is any word about fuel, everyone’s mind is set on the Petroleum Ministry and this ministry is held responsible for price hikes, but the ministry is only implementing the plan without making any decision,” he said.
Nematollahi said Petroleum Ministry executes the decisions adopted by the government.
He said that the necessary preparations will be first made in the society before the subsidy reform plan is implemented.
Nematollahi said oil managers are instrumental in preparing the people for the implementation of the second phase of the plan.
