FM: President Rouhani to visit Turkey in two months

Van, March 15, IRNA Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will pay an official visit to Turkey in the coming months, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad announced here on Friday.
?The Islamic Republic of Iran?s president will also pay a visit to Turkey within next two months,? Zarif told reporters while referring to the recent visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan to Tehran.

The Iranian foreign minister also pointed to very good Iran-Turkey relations, and said, ?Since I have been appointed as foreign minister, I have met my Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu eight times which indicates good relations between Tehran and Ankara.?

Zarif left the Turkish city of Van for Tehran on Friday night.

The Iranian foreign minister arrived in Turkey on Friday to attend the trilateral meeting of Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan issued a joint statement on Friday at the end of their trilateral meeting in Van.

In the joint statement, the three countries determined their plan of action for 2014, 2015 and 2016 which was approved by their foreign ministers.

Zarif held separate interviews with Turkish television channels of ITV, NTV and CNN Turk during his one-day stay in Van.
