Berlin, Mar 14, IRNA -- A German foreign ministry spokesman expressed hope for continued ?constructive? talks between Iran and six powers ahead of next week?s meeting in Vienna on a final nuclear deal on Tehran?s nuclear program.
Addressing a regular government press briefing in Berlin, Martin Schaefer reiterated last month?s talks in Vienna were in fact ?constructive,? saying he hoped this path would continue.

We expect to have next week ?further concrete and very detailed negotiations? on our way towards a common objective which is a lasting nuclear accord with Iran, Schaefer said.

Talks between Iran and the so-called P5+1 group (Russia, US, China, England, France plus Germany) are scheduled to resume in Vienna on Tuesday.

Under a six-month interim deal, Tehran agreed to curb some of its nuclear activities in return for easing some of western sanctions.

Meanwhile, Schaefer welcomed the recent high profile Iran visit of European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

We support this trip and hope that our relations -- as a whole -- can someday be normal. Unfortunately, we have not reached that stage yet but we have made some progress on that path over the past months, added Schaefer.
