Regional ties of great importance: Rouhani

TEHRAN, March 12 (MNA) Before departure to Oman Irans President has said relations with the Islamic countries especially those in neighborhood are of great importance to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Wednesday morning at the airport Rouhani said that since Strait of Hormuz is an important waterway, among the neighboring countries relations with those located in Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman areas, are of more importance.

He added that Iran and Omman are the only two countries surrounding Starait of Hormuz and Iran always had good relations with Omman which we seek to be more stable.

Rouhani pointed to Ommans Sultan Qaboos visit to Iran and some agreements between the two countries adding that in his trip to Omman they are going to employ those agreements.

President Rouhani left Tehran to Omman Wednesday morning for bilateral and regional talks.

Irans Foreign Minister, Oil Minister, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Minister of Cooperatives Labor and Social Welfare, head of Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization, head of Department of Environment, chief of Office of the President, head of Central Bank, IRNA CEO and some other governmental officials accompany the president in this trip.
