Boroujerdi: Sanctions failed to impede Irans progress

Tehran, March 12, IRNA - Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here Tuesday evening that the unfair anti-Iran sanctions resulted in the country?s reliance on its indigenous and domestic experts.
Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Chairman of Foreign Policy Committee of the Croatian Parliament Milorad Pupovac.

He reiterated that the sanctions have failed to impede the countrys progress and paved the way for progress in different fields of science, technology and economy.

Iran and Croatia enjoy vast potentials to enhance all-out ties, in parliamentary field in particular, he added.

Pupovac, for his part, voiced his government?s readiness to boost all-out relations with Iran.

Touching on Irans active role in reinforcing peace and tranquility in the region, he called for holding regular consultations between the two countries on regional and global developments.
