Zistboom: The Department of the Environment (DOE) and Education Ministry have signed an agreement on environmental protection in Hajar High School of Tehran.
The agreement signed by DOE chief Massoumeh Ebtekar and Education Minister Ali Asqar Fani is aimed at promoting the culture of environmental protection among students and increasing their cooperation in implementing environmental programs.
The agreement was signed to help the Education Ministry use the educational and cultural capacities of the regions covered by DOE, devise directives for offering environmental awards to schools and offer training courses in the field of environment to students, IRNA reported.
Based on the agreement, the DOE is committed to provide technical support to international environmental projects of Education Ministry and prepare the ground for teachers and experts to use the regional, national and international programs implemented in the field of environment.
The Education Ministry is committed to appoint an environmental expert in the Health Office of the ministry’s Physical Education Department, improve the content of lessons related to environment and offer environmental training courses to teachers.
The ministry will also pave the way for expansion of environmental groups established by students and use the capacity of smart schools to offer environmental training to students.
