Tehran, March 9, IRNA � Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani and visiting European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton discussed issues of mutual interests here Sunday.
Ashton, who arrived in the Iranian capital on Saturday evening, so far has held talks with President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

She is visiting Tehran at an invitation of the Iranian foreign minister. This is her first visit to Tehran since 2008.

Ashton is accompanied by her deputy Helga Schmid, special aide Stefan Clement, and spokesperson Michael Mann.
