Iran, Lebanon to expand cooperation in education

Beirut, March 7, IRNA Lebanese Minister of Education and Higher Education Elias Bou Saab, in a meeting with Iran?s Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi here on Friday, discussed ways of expansion of educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries.


 
In the meeting, in which Chancellor of Islamic Open University branch in Lebanon Nikzad Manteqi was present too, the final process for issuing official permit for activities of different branches of the university in different Lebanese cities were discussed.


Bou Saab praised Iran?s progress in the field of science and underlined that common enemy of all of us is the Zionist regime and all Lebanese believe so.

He described terrorist acts of Takfiri groups contrary to religion, morality and human principles and in direction of interests of the Zionist regime and underlined collective confrontation with such an ominous phenomenon.

The ambassador, for his part, felicitated appointment of Bou Saab as the new minister of education and higher education.

Referring to the existing agreements on cooperation in the fields of education and higher education between the two countries, Roknabadi expressed Iran?s readiness for developing and strengthening such cooperation with Lebanon.

He added that Iran?s permanent support for anti-Zionist resistance is upon Iran?s Constitution and among fixed principles of Iran?s foreign policy.
