Tehran, March 5, IRNA Several foreign investors have voiced their readiness to play an active role in Iran?s petrochemical industry, a top Iranian official said here on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Managing Director of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Abbas She?ri-Moqaddam made the remarks on the sideline of a local gathering in Tehran.
?The NIPC is trying to attract foreign investors in the petrochemical sector,? he said, adding some eight billion dollars worth of foreign investment is needed in the sector annually.
An international conference aimed at introducing Iran investment opportunities to foreigners will be held in Tehran in late May, the official added.
