Southern Pars to reach Baghdad by next summer

TEHRAN, March 4 (MNA) Irans deputy oil minister has said an agreement between Iran and Iraq was signed to export Irans gas to Iraq next summer on a daily basis of around 3 to 4 million cubic meters.
Hamidreza Araqi told Mehr News that according to the latest talks, Iran would export gas to Iraq in 3 stages.

Deputy oil minister reiterated that the 1stphase of pipeline construction had almost finished. Given the fast pace of construction, we predict that gas will reach Baghdad by next summer, he said.

NIOC CEO emphasized that the1stphase would export limited volume of around 3 to 4 million cubic meters of natural gas.

Araqi added that operation of 2ndand 3rdphases of natural gas export project to Iraq required 300 kilometers of pipeline installation.
