Iran calls Obama military option 'Joke of the Year'

Iranian military laughs off Obama's warnings that military option still on the table, warns Middle East will turn into 'hell' for US.
Iran has mocked US President Barack Obama's warnings that the militaryoptionis still onthe tableto prevent the Islamic regime's nuclear aspirations, calling the threats "the joke of the year."

General Saeed Masoud Jazzayeri, Aide to Basij (local Islamist militia) Affairs and General Headquarters Defense Publicity in theIranian military, laughed at Obama's recent warnings of possible American military intervention in the Middle East.

"The low-IQ US president and his country'sSecretary of StateJohn Kerry speak of the effectiveness of 'the US options onthe table' on Iran, while this phrase is mocked at and has become a joke among the Iranian nation, especially the children," said Jazzayeri according to the Iranian semi-officialFars News Agency.

The general added onprevious Iranian threats, warning that US forces in the region can be struck by Iran. "If they err, the region will be turned into a hell for them," threatened Jazzayeri.

Jazzayeri claimed that the US public doubts Obama's military threats as well; indeed, last SundaySenator John McCain (R-AZ) slammed Obama for being themost "naive president in history."

Republican lawmakers on Sunday warned that Obama is "all talk" on Russia's aggressive actions towards Ukraine.Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) remarked "we have a weak and indecisive president that invites aggression."

Iranian militarybuild-up no laughing matter

Iran has been ratcheting up its domestic military production. Last month the regime marked35 years since the 1979 Islamic Revolution by holding a special display of the nation's domestic military industry advances in the last decade, bragging that it has the "biggest army in the region."

The fruits of the Islamic regime's military industry included domestically produced submarines, fighter jets, missiles, drones, and anadvanced radar system.Just last Thursday and Friday, Iran's Basij militia ran drills preparing for aninvasion of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile a report from the Pentagon in February revealed that the US "would have no clue" if Iran obtained a nuclear weapon.

Iran similarlymocked Obamalast month for his threats of sanctions on firms doing business with Iran.
