Tehran to host Iran-Lebanon-Iraq-Syria parliamentary meeting: MP

Tehran, March 2, IRNA - Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here on Sunday that Iran-Iraq-Lebanon-Syria parliamentary meeting will be kicked off in Tehran on March 10.
Pointing to his recent visit to Syria and Lebanon, Boroujerdi underlined that countering Takfiris was the main issue discussed with senior officials of the two countries.

Boroujerdi said Syria?s situation is improving and the government has taken control of several regions.

Although the Americans claim that they are trying to settle the Syrian crisis through diplomacy, they are in fact pursing the military option aimed at political restructuring of that Arab country, the MP noted.

He rejected any military solution to the Syrian crisis, stressing that the crisis will be settled only through peaceful means.

As to recent Zionists attack on Lebanon, he said such moves prove that terrorist groups are directly supported by the Tel Aviv regime.

The Zionist regime is trying to weaken the Syrian government which it believes is the main supporter of the resistance movement and the Lebanese Hizbollah, the MP reiterated.
