Tehran to host four railway meetings

Tehran, March 1, IRNA – The second trilateral meeting of Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan and second meeting of Bandar Abbas-Almaty container train working group aimed at promoting cooperation among ECO member states in the field of railway transportation will be held from March 2-4.

According to a report by Public Relations Department of Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, in addition to the two events, the second meeting of Istanbul-Almaty container train working group and the eighth meeting of Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul railway working group are also slated to be held during the same period.

The ECO secretary general is to attend all four events to be held in Tehran.

ECO is an intergovernmental organization grouping seven Asian and three Eurasian nations, part of the South-central Asian Union. It provides a platform to discuss ways to improve development and promote trade, and investment opportunities.
