Iran's Araqchi: I am not optimistic on talks with G5+1

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Senior Iranian Nuclear Negotiator Abbas Araqchi said he is not optimistic on the talks underway between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
"I cannot say that I am optimistic given the pessimism institutionalized in us on westerns," Araqchi told ISNA.

"The pessimism on the one hand and the hardship and complexity of the issue has made it difficult to be optimistic on results of the negotiations," he added.

Senior Iranian Nuclear Negotiator also expressed the hope that the two sides could advance issues specified on the agenda in the next round of talks between Iran and G5+1 scheduled for March 17-20 in Vienna.

"We are resolved and we enter the negotiations and we have the same expectation from the other side. We hope that we can obtain the intended results if the required good will and will is in the other side, which has always been questions."

The senior Iranian nuclear negotiator said nuclear cooperation will be discussed in the next round of talks in Vienna.
