Iran, Britain ambassadors to Beirut confer on regional issues
Beirut, Feb 27, IRNA Ambassadors of Iran and Britain to Beirut on Thursday conferred on the latest regional developments mainly in Lebanon and Syria, calling for an immediate restoration of peace and security.
British Ambassador to Beirut Tom Fletcher expressed condolence to Iran?s Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi on terrorist attack against the Iranian cultural house in Beirut and said the terrorist groups pose threat for all.

IRNA reporter in Beirut said that the two ambassadors exchanged views on latest developments in Lebanon and Syria and underlined the need for the support of all countries to help restore stability and security in Lebanon and the entire region.

Iranian ambassador to Beirut said that the Islamic Republic of Iran presented a six-point peace plan for Syria.

He criticized the western governments for providing the professional terrorists from four corners of the world with military equipment and ammunitiion in Syria and said that financial and military support to the terrorist groups should be halted and that diplomacy is the best means to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
