Tehran, Feb 26, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday highlighted Iranˈs principle policy of maintaining friendly ties and interaction with neighboring countries.
The President made the remarks while addressing a public gathering in Jask Island in the Oman Sea, south of the country. He is visiting the island as part of his tour of Hormuzgan province.
He said Iranˈs southern neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman should be assured that the basic policy of Iran is to follow up friendship and interaction with them as well as other regional states.
He further voiced Iranˈs readiness to establish closer relations with regional countries to pave the way for a secure region which could welcome investments.
Meanwhile, President Rouhani announced that the government is planning to build an oil export jetty in the island.
