Iran's steel production hits 1.350.000 tons in Jan

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran's steel outputs totaled 1.350.000 tons in January 2014, raising by 21.5 percent comparing to similar period last year.
Based on a report released by World Steel Association, the world's steel production totaled 129.783 million tons in January 2014, decreasing by 0.4 percent comparing to similar period last year.

The figure includes steel outputs by 65 countries.

Iran with 1.350.000 tons of steel has been the Middle East's second largest steel-maker. Turkey's productions in January hit 2.829.000 tons by 9 percent reduction, known as the region's lead steelmaker.
