TEHRAN, Feb. 26 (MNA) Irans Atomic Energy Organization spokesman has said the organization has developed nuclear medicine lasting only 15 minutes.Behrouz Kamalvanditold Mehr News that the medicine should be consumed after 15 minutes. We are planning to construct hospital providing nuclear medicine with cooperation by private sector participation where nuclear medicine would be produced on-place, he added.
Kamalvandi told that protection against radiations is an Atomic Energy Organization responsibility. Supervision and diagnosis that radiations from hospital radiology and X-ray facilities, research centers, lasers, optical instruments, and telecommunication relay systems have been the responsibility of the Center for Nuclear Safety of the Atomic Energy Organization, he asserted, the research staff of the organization had been working on providing optimal safety and prevention practices.
The nuclear medicine is used to disease diagnosis and soon they disappear, Kamalvandi told Mehr. The Atomic Energy Organization has in its agenda construction of a hospital special for nuclear medicine to start construction by few months, he said.
We have discussed the issue with the private sector investors to finalize and build the hospital next year, Kamalvandi added.
