Iran-Sextet talks exclusive to nuclear program: Cleric

Senior Iranian cleric, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, says Irans nuclear negotiators should not let their opposite parties from six world powers to discuss issues other than the Islamic Republics nuclear energy program.
[Irans nuclear negotiators] must respect the red lines One of these red lines is that the opposing party in the nuclear talks should not interfere with other issues, Ayatollah Jannati said in his sermon to worshippers at the weekly Tehran Friday Prayers.
The topic and the agenda [of the talks with the world powers] is exclusively focused on nuclear issues, and in this regard, we will never give up our right, the Iranian cleric added.
Jannati said the United States is not entitled to ask Iran to scrap its missile program.

We must have defensive power. Should we reduce our defensive power for you (the US government) to invade us anytime you desire? said the cleric.

Jannati recommended that Irans nuclear negotiating team should speak from the position of dignity and strength.

On Thursday, Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the countrys defense and scientific capabilities are non-negotiable and no Iranian nuclear site will be dismantled.

Zarif added that Iran and the six world powers the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany have not discussed dismantling of Irans nuclear facilities.

Iran and the six powers held three days of talks in Vienna, which ended on February 20.

The talks in Vienna were follow-up to earlier negotiations in Geneva, which resulted in a landmark interim deal between Iran and the six countries in November 2013. The deal took effect on January 20.

The next round of the talks between Iran and the world powers are to be held in Vienna on March 17.
