Iranian, Tajik speakers stress major boost in bilateral ties
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and his Tajik counterpart Shukurjon Zuhurov pledged to do their best to pave the ground for the promotion of Tehran-Dushanbe relations.


In a meeting on the sidelines of the 9th Meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tehran on Sunday, the two top parliamentarians voiced their capitals' enthusiasm for consolidation of mutual cooperation between the two nations.

Larijani further added that presence of Tajik parliamentary delegation in Tehran IPU conference will be effective to create new atmosphere for promotion of Tehran-Dushanbe economic cooperation.

Iran and Tajikistan have recently accelerated expansion of their ties and cooperation and observers believe that the good achievements gained in area of their mutual cooperation should be deemed as a result of the efforts made by the two countries officials.
