Chinese economic team to visit Iran

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mehdi Mir Aboutalebi said a Chinese economic delegation plans to visit Iran early March to discuss mutual cooperation and investment.
The delegation is made of mine industry, he said, adding, German, Dutch and Spanish delegations will visit Iran in April to confer on ways for broadening mutual economic and trade cooperation.

A delegation from the Irish parliament led by Breen arrived in Tehran early January to explore ways to expand bilateral ties.

Also, earlier January, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi said Iran's friendly interactions with the world nations and the country's lucrative market have encouraged many courtiers, specially in the West, to seek an all-out expansion of their relations with Iran.

The Iranian officials added that two high-ranking delegations from Poland and Sweden plan to travel to Iran in near future but no exact date has yet been fixed for the visits.

Early January, former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema was in Tehran and had a series of meetings with high-ranking Iranian officials, including Expediency Council Chairman and former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Late in December, Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino arrived in Iran to confer with the senior Iranian officials on the latest developments in the region and expansion of mutual cooperation between Tehran and Rom.
