Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale shook surrounding areas of Gandoman city in Charmahal Bakhtiari province Thursday afternoon.According to a report by the seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 17:15 hours local time (13:45 hours GMT). The epicenter was registered at 31.81 degrees latitude and 51.17 degrees longitude.
Irans Red Crescent Society spokesman, Hossein Derakhshan told IRNA that the Society had immediately dispatched two relief teams to the area to estimate any possible damage.
According to reports sent by the two teams the tremor has caused no damage or casualties, he said.
