Qom, Feb 9, IRNA � Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the military option against Iran, the US has been talking about in the past 35 years, means nothing to the nation.

He said the Iranian nation has never halted confronting western hegemonic powers and never yielded to dominance-seeking systems.


Referring to combat readiness of the Iranian military forces to fight bullying powers, he stressed that they are always ready to give crushing response to bullyers.

As to the religion-based democracy which has been institutionalized in Iran?s Islamic system, the minister stressed the direct and indirect role of people in all decision making levels in the country.

He said the western countries, contrary to their claims that they enjoy political independence, are dependent on capitalist and Zionist lobbies in one way or the other.
